Dogs in Silver | Portuguese Water Dog

Leitão & Irmão has created a collection of cães em prata, which pays homage to man's best friend - the dog.

In this edition, Leitão & Irmão workshops have created a replica of the “skillful and loyal” Cão de Água Português.

With his contagious energy and exceptional intelligence, he is known for his unwavering loyalty, courage and swimming and diving skills.

Originally found all along the Portuguese coast, the Portuguese Water Dog has become a symbol of the Algarve, its region of origin. Adapted to life at sea, it stands out for its endurance, bravery and ability to quickly understand and obey its owner's commands.

Leitão & Irmão's sculptor hand-carved our Portuguese Water Dog, which was then transformed and worked on at the goldsmith's stalls. This silver piece reproduces the animal's artistic and plastic expression, capturing the breed's characteristics such as strength, energy and vitality.
